The Focal Aria CC 900 is a versatile 2-way center loudspeaker designed to seamlessly integrate with other front loudspeakers in the Aria range. Its development focused on achieving timber matching for consistent and homogeneous sound across various configurations. The Aria range offers flexibility for creating Home Cinema setups tailored to different room sizes.

The Focal Aria CC 900 center loudspeaker plays a crucial role in delivering precise and consistent sound that complements the visual experience. Its ‘Flax’ sandwich membrane contributes to exceptional definition, resulting in clear and deep vocals. When combined with a pair of Aria 936 floorstanding speakers, two Aria SR 900 surround speakers, and a Sub 600P subwoofer, the Aria CC 900 creates an impressive 5.1 Home Cinema system.

The Aria CC 900 is recommended for rooms measuring 215ft2 (20m2) with a recommended listening distance of 10ft (3m), ensuring an immersive and captivating audio experience.

Soft Treble

For the TNF (Tuned Mass Damping) tweeter in the Aria range, we have introduced two significant advancements to our aluminum/magnesium tweeter design. The suspension system between the dome and its bracket incorporates Poron, a shape memory material. This suspension technique is an inspiration from the renown Utopia Beryllium tweeter, resulting in a remarkable reduction of distortion by a factor of three in the 2-3kHz range, where the human ear is highly sensitive.

The inverted dome design of the TNF tweeter already offers exceptional spatial characteristics and minimal directivity, surpassing the performance of conventional domes used by our competitors. This ensures an exceptionally stable sound stage, making the listening position less critical. The combination of Poron suspension and inverted dome technology in the TNF tweeter delivers superior sound quality, with reduced distortion and improved precision throughout the frequency range.

Flax Cone

Since 2013, the flax cones in use in Focal speakers have been exclusively manufactured in France. These cones are meticulously designed to prioritize acoustic performance. They consist of high-quality flax fibers surrounded by two thin layers of glass fiber. The unique construction of the flax cones ensures a natural sound reproduction with minimal coloration, enhanced richness in the midrange frequencies, and tighter bass response.

The lightweight nature of the flax fiber meets the requirements for high internal damping, velocity, and flexural rigidity. In fact, flax is twice as light as fiberglass due to its hollow fiber composition. Additionally, flax exhibits very low elasticity, which contributes to increased flexural rigidity when used in a sandwich structure. These properties of the flax cones contribute to improved overall speaker performance and deliver an exceptional listening experience.
