The Focal Sopra Center Speaker is designed to seamlessly integrate into your home cinema setup, offering an extended Sopra experience. As a center loudspeaker, it plays a crucial role in reproducing not just dialogue, but also music, sound effects, and other audio elements. The mid-range drivers of the Sopra Center ensure precision and coherence between the visuals and the soundstage, providing a seamless integration of audio and visual elements.

The Sopra Center is the perfect complement to the other speakers in the Sopra line, including the Sopra N°1 bookshelf loudspeakers and Sopra N°2 or Sopra N°3 floorstanding loudspeakers. Each model in the Sopra line features high-performance speaker drivers, such as the ‘W’ cones and pure Beryllium inverted dome tweeters, ensuring consistent output, rendering, and scale across the entire system. The dispersion of sound is perfectly maintained, allowing for accurate reproduction of audio from both sides of the image.

The Sopra Center is available in the elegant Black Lacquer finish, matching the aesthetic of the rest of the Sopra line. It features a 3″ ‘W’ cone midrange, two 6.5″ ‘W’ cone woofers, and a 0.69″ pure Beryllium IAL tweeter, delivering exceptional performance and fidelity.

Beryllium, known for its remarkable rigidity, is the ideal material for a tweeter dome. Focal’s extensive research and development efforts resulted in a groundbreaking achievement: a pure Beryllium inverted dome capable of covering over five octaves. With this innovative design, you can expect enhanced perception of transients and subtle micro details in your audio playback.

The pure Beryllium inverted dome tweeter delivers a perfectly linear frequency response, ensuring exceptional precision and clarity in the high-frequency range. The speaker’s overall response curve is achieved through a delicate balance of three opposing parameters: lightness, rigidity, and damping. These factors contribute to the linearity of the speaker’s performance, resulting in accurate and faithful reproduction of audio across the frequency spectrum.

‘W’ Cone

The ‘W’ composite sandwich cone utilized in our speakers offers unparalleled optimization of the frequency response curve. We can achieve this through precise control of three crucial parameters: lightness, rigidity, and damping. The innovative design of the cone allows for meticulous management of these characteristics, leading to exceptional performance.
